About

A quality gate, forged in production.

ArticleGrade started as the pre-publish gate inside our own AI-content pipeline — run on real traffic, against the exact problem it solves, before it was ever a product.

ArticleGrade started as internal infrastructure. Before it had a pricing page or a single customer, it was the pre-publish checkpoint inside our own AI-content pipeline — the thing that stood between a freshly drafted page and the live web, deciding whether it was good enough to ship. It ran on real sites, against real organic traffic, on the exact problem it now solves for you. We didn't theorise a product and go looking for a market. We had a problem, built the tool, and dogfounded it until it earned a name.

Why this exists

Google scores quality at the domain level, not the page level. A handful of weak articles can drag down a whole site — and once AI made content effectively infinite, the gap between "publish at volume" and "guarantee quality" stopped being a workflow nuisance and became an existential one. Publishing is now cheap; a sitewide demotion is not.

We lived on the wrong side of that gap. Running an AI-content network, we watched thin batches threaten the rankings of pages that had nothing to do with them. The lesson was blunt: you cannot scale output without a gate, and human editors don't scale to the volume that AI makes possible. So we built a machine that reads a live page the way a search engine reads it — E-E-A-T, AI-artifacts, factual depth and SEO structure fused into one pass/fail verdict — and refuses to let weak work through.

What we believe

We judge the live page, not the draft. A page can read beautifully in a doc and fail on the open web — missing author signals, broken structure, claims that don't survive scrutiny. We audit what Google actually crawls, because that's the only version that counts.

We're honest about what a score can and can't tell you. There is no official numeric E-E-A-T; our number is a disciplined proxy, not a pretence at reading Google's mind. We tell you where a page is weak and why, and we don't dress a judgement call up as a certainty.

Principles

Where this goes

The wedge is a single, trustworthy verdict on one URL — the fastest way to prove the gate earns its place in your stack. From there it becomes the standard step every content team runs before publishing: an API in your CMS, a check in your pipeline, a dashboard that watches quality across everything you ship. We started by insuring our own traffic. The platform is the same gate, pointed at yours.

Start with one page

Run a live URL through the free grader and read the verdict yourself — score, weak spots, and the fixes to make before you publish. If it earns its place, wire it into everything you ship.

A note on the file paths referenced: this copy aligns with the live /security and /methodology pages and uses the contact address hello@articlegrade.com. No team bios, funding, logos, testimonials or statistics were invented; the origin (built as an internal gate, dogfooded on the founder's own AI-content network) is stated plainly without embellishment.
